WindGrip
The WindGrip is a fully electrically powered applicator, designed for printing and applying A6 labels (105 x 148 mm). It is a wipe-on system and is primarily used in logistics environments where compressed air is unavailable or where compressed air is deliberately not required.
The system uses a fan that vacuum-seals the label to the application pad. An electrically powered rod mechanism then moves this pad to the desired distance from the product. As soon as a passing product activates the system, the applicator makes an additional movement to ensure effective contact with the label. When the front of the label adheres, the product pulls the label further away from the pad, ensuring a clean application.
To ensure the label fits snugly against the surface, foam rollers ensure the label is pressed evenly and conforms well to the product.
A laser distance sensor can be added as an option. This allows the applicator's stroke length to be adjusted even more precisely, resulting in faster application cycles and a more efficient process.

What is unique?
Most competitors still use compressed air (pneumatics) to apply labels at high speed or to hold them in place (vacuum). The WindGrip is fully electric .
The advantage:
It's much more energy-efficient, quieter, and more precisely adjustable than pneumatic systems. Moreover, no expensive compressed air system is required at that location in the factory.
